A new chapter for the Western Region Conference

This year, we’re shifting from a traditional conference to a purpose‑built summit for board and staff leaders.

Across the western region, affiliates are navigating real pressures — tight budgets, leadership transitions, culture challenges, and rising expectations.

The 2027 Board and Leadership Summit is designed to meet this moment with a focused three-day experience that strengthens governing partnerships, deepens strategic clarity, and supports the resilience, mission-driven leadership our affiliates need.

Hosted at the picturesque Skamania Lodge, this summit brings leaders together for high-impact plenaries, curated peer learning, and meaningful cross-affiliate connection. With a streamlined schedule and intentional design, participants will have space to learn, reflect, and recharge — returning home with shared understanding, renewed confidence, and practical commitments they can apply immediately.

Who should attend:

  • Board members

  • Affiliate leaders, executive directors and CEOs

  • Senior or executive-level staff

We especially encourage board pairs or trios to attend together with an affiliate leader or senior staff person. Affiliate participation will be capped at three to four attendees to support balanced representation and strong peer learning.
